Idaho Hispanic Youth Symposium 

The 2015 Hispanic Youth Symposium is now accepting submissions for this year’s Talent Show, Speech, and Art Showcases.  All submissions will undergo a preliminary selection process.  Submission deadline is Friday, July 10, 2015. 


To be considered for a Talent performance:

  • Create and submit YouTube video of your performance 
  • Deadline for submission is ​Friday July 10, 2015
  • Selected entries will be notified byMonday, July 13, 2015


  1. Talent Rules: 
  2. 1. Performance must not exceed the 4 minutes.
  3. 2. Performances exceeding the 4 minute maximum will be deducted points.
  4. 3. Group performances must not exceed 4 participants, and ALL performers must be HYS 2015 participants.
  5. 4. YouTube video link must be submitted by the deadline for consideration.

  • Create and submit 6 minute YouTube video of your performance 
  • Deadline for submission is ​Friday July 10, 2015
  • Five Selected entries will be notified by Monday, July 13, 2015

  2. ​1. Speech must include the HYS 2015 theme: ​​​¡Sí se puede, sí lo haremos!​
  3. 2. Speech must be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 minutes.
  4. 3. Speeches exceeding the time requirements will be deducted points.
  5. 4. Top 5 speeches will perform live before a live panel of judges at HYS, and the top 3 speeches will be selected for delivery during lunch on Sunday August 2, 2015. 
  6. 5. YouTube video link must be submitted by the deadline for consideration.
